Bloomprint sets at most three cookies, all strictly necessary for the site to do what you asked of it, and nothing for advertising. Counting visits to the open pages uses no cookie either (see the privacy page). That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask your consent for.
The cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
sid | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random session token and nothing else | Until you sign out, or 30 days |
goauth | Carries you through signing in with Google, so the site can check that the reply came from the request it sent | 10 minutes, and only if you sign in with Google |
theme | Remembers that you chose the light or the dark theme, so pages arrive in it. It holds
the word light or dark and nothing else | A year, and only if you choose a theme. Choosing “System” deletes it |
All three are set by Bloomprint itself. None can be read by the page's scripts, and none is sent to anyone else.
What your browser stores for the editor
The editor keeps a few preferences on your device, in your browser's local storage, so it works the way you left it. They never leave your device.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The catalogue items you have used recently | So the palette can offer them first |
| How you arranged the palette | Which sections are open, and how they are sorted |
| Whether dimensions are shown on the plan | So the editor remembers your choice |
| Which editor panel you last had open, which layers you hid in each garden, and that you confirmed a garden's north for the sun study | So the new editor opens the way you left it |
| That you dismissed the reminder to confirm your email | So it does not reappear on every page. Kept only until you close the tab |
You can clear any of these through your browser's settings. Nothing breaks: the editor forgets your preferences.
If this changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask before setting it, and this page will say so first. See also the privacy policy.
